1. Read Othello, Act III, Scenes 1, 2, and 3.

Notes:
a) Comic relief at the beginning of Act III.
b) Iago's plan to incite Othello's jealousy begins to take form.
c) Desdemona loses her hankerchief; Emilia picks it up and gives it to Iago.
d) Quote: III.3.165-167:
"O beware, my lord, of jealousy!/It is the green-ey'd monster which doth mock/The meat it feeds on." (Iago).
