1. Review ways of revising sentences for run-ons and fragments in EOL book pp. 344-345; review of subordinating and independent clauses and proper punctuation of these:

IC; IC Sometimes "however, " is placed after the semi-colon.
Also, use a comma after an introductory dependent clause. However, when the independent clause occurs first (before the dependent clause) do not insert comma.
Example: When I missed the bus, I cried.
I cried when I missed the bus. (No comma).
